An American Thanksgiving!

American's set aside the 4th Thursday of every November to celebrate Thanksgiving. This is a time when families gather together to celebrate good times and good company, and all that we have to be grateful for. Tig's parents joined us for an extended holiday weekend.

Allan prepares to carve the traditional Thanksgiving turkey. In our house, the eldest male traditionally carves the turkey.

Mombley and Jane work on getting the food together.

Tig, Mombley, Seph & Jane. Thankful to have each other.

Zury protests because he is ready to eat, NOW!

Mmmmmmmm!!! Pie! Traditional pumpkin pie from Frannie's, then chocolate pie and strawberry pie from Frannie's, and a deli pumpkin pie. Frannie's has the best pie!

Zury decided he wanted his own table. Calli offered to help.

Seph tries to be patient while she waits for everyone else to get to the main table.

Jane and Lance join Seph at the table. We had turkey, baked potatoes, two types of cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, cornbread stuffing, cranberry bread, peas with onions, and rolls.

Jane, Mombley, and Allan wait to dig in to their feast. First we all went around and said what we were thankful for.

After dinner, Claudia and Celine (AFS students from Belgium) dropped by to say hi!
